The Disability Resource Center is a comprehensive program designed to promote retention and academic success in college. The center, a TRIO program, is funded through the U.S. Department of Education to provide supplemental academic, technological, and personal support for students with disabilities.

The center's staff is dedicated to helping students be successful in college. Counseling, advisement, tutorial support, note takers, adaptive testing, alternative print formats, and technological support are some of the services available through the center.

The Disability Resource Center is the designated office at Henderson State University that obtains and files disability-related documents; certifies eligibility for and determines appropriate academic accommodations and auxiliary aids; and develops plans for the provision of individual accommodations through a partnership with faculty and the students themselves. The center is located in Foster Hall 307.
