Non Traditional Student Undergraduate Catalog 2008-2010 PRINT PAGE
The Non-traditional Student Program is a part of the Center for Student Success and Transition and is located in Room L221A of the Garrison Activity and Conference Center.
The Program is designed to serve students who are 25 and older, or who are married, or who have children. Approximately 20% of the Henderson State University student body is non-traditional. Non-traditional students have needs and interests different from the traditional-aged student. The Non-traditional Student Program is designed to meet those needs. It is a place to meet friends or study between classes, join a study group, or find out about events and services on campus relevant to non-traditional students.
We offer many resources to help students balance college, work, and family. Our goal is to enrich non-traditional students' educational experience by connecting students to academic and student services and providing a common place for students to meet and build support networks. We have a lounge and lockers. We also have Peer Mentors and provide free tutoring. Please drop by or call for more information, 870-230-5295.
